Currently located in the Radcliffe Observatory Quarter, we will be moving to the new, purpose-built Life and Mind Building ( Home | The Life and Mind Building (ox.ac.uk) a multidisciplinary research and teaching facility due to open in 2024. We are seeking an enthusiastic, well-organised and pro-active Administrative Assistant to provide administrative support for the four Associate Heads of Department (Personnel, People & Culture, Research, and Education) and the Head of Administration and Finance (HAF), as well as general office duties. About the Role This is an exciting opportunity for someone with a flexible approach who enjoys working as part of a team, and would be an ideal step for someone wishing to develop their career within University administration. Supporting the Head of Administration and Finance, you will be managing a busy diary and mailbox, updating website and intranet content, and providing support as needed to the wider administration team. You will also be working with the People and Culture Committee to support various projects including the Department’s Athena Swan Award. About You You will have proven administration experience and be practiced in diary and email management. With excellent written and verbal communication skills, a high standard of numeracy, and good IT skills, this role will challenge you with a varied and busy workload, and opportunities to develop. You will have discretion and sensitivity as the role will involve handling or having access to confidential information.
